CCSI-noc uses a
distributed architecture that enables the CCSI-noc server to obtain local
metrics from the devices on your network and to monitor devices located behind a
firewall. It includes a central server, a database, a Web-based interface,
hardware probes, agent software, and notification features. The communication
protocol between the server, the probes, and the agents is HTTP or HTTPS.
CCSI-noc uses
platform-specific agents to monitor local system information that cannot be
monitored remotely. The agents are small software programs that reside on a
device and forward monitoring information to the CCSI-noc server.
